WELL. HE'D SHOW UP CRYING :X and you can tell in his death speech he hits the "denial" and then works around it and then comes back to it at the end and hits "despair" pretty heavily. Just one more time, etc.

So I think he would. First have to get over WOW I LOST. Saber mentions it would pretty much crumble him and it's true. He has a Lot Of Feelings to work through so it depends on how he did there. And then he would have to build himself up '-'! I don't think he'd let go of being 'a king' but he would let go of 'leading the human race'. And maybe focus more on being 'kingly'. Yes :|aaa

IT IS A THING THAT I WANT TO HAPPEN NOW. I'm just going to find a quick Lets Play/script thing somewhere and roll with it. The feeling of FAILING HIS KING ONCE MORE will probably make him a sad knight, but if Leo is kind of overwhelmingly sad, he'll still feel that it's his duty to stand by his side!! He doesn't have REGRETS because he fought with his all (I remember some line about this), but defeat is still very :(.

I figure he'd be okay. Until he meets Saber. 'u' And then I think he will BSOD for the rest of his life.

So is there anything in Fate/Extra that you particular like more than Fate/Zero in terms of storyline, mechanics, etc. ? I know you mentioned it before but I can't really recall them atm. :|a

Talk to me about Enkidu and Allen :|a What are his feelings on their contract?

Enkidu is grateful to Allen! That is probably the base summary of it. He needs Allen so he can not disappear on Gilgamesh and that is one of his Biggest Things. In some respect 'anyone would do' for that role though obvs someone who was well matched is better. Enkidu was not super big on asking people either because HEY WANNA SUPPORT MY EXISTENCE is kind of ehhhn. He likes Allen as well! Though Enkidu's base liking is pretty open and he generally has vague positive feelings on most people.

HE KNOWS ALLEN HAS A LOT OF FEELINGS ... and he generally thinks Allen is pretty great :|a? They haven't had a real deep conversation in a while, not since Enkidu and Gil had a fight to the death almost so it's mostly still first impressiony. Oh and there's the floating Berserker taint which is hilarious 8D; and I hope we get to do more of that. Since we folded Noah + Enkidu's second class as Berserker together for maximum hilarity.

Enkidu knows Slick and Allen are together and he knows Slick somewhat okkkaaayly. So that adds something. It is also convenient since Slick and Gil are contracted :X And so far Enkidu is pretty much like. Allen Walker's friends are very weird and I am never quite sure what to do with them.

On the one hand he hates it and genuinely wishes mythmons would just gtfo of his things. There's no way he can hear "I bound my soul to this guy" and not have an internal freak out. That is some serious shit that is happening right there. He would definitely be more understanding if master and servant pairs were able to get to know each other more in depth before hand and not make these decisions after a few days (OR HOURS . . .) of knowing someone. But that's not the case. \:D/ These decisions are being made too quickly and recklessly for him to be okay with it on any level.

And yeah Dera thinking something is too reckless haha :'D But it's essentially swearing loyalty in a way that offers your soul up as he understands it, and that's not okay!!!

On the other hand he's talked wiiiith I think it was one of the Archers? And is pretty much resigned to the fact that the mythmon will basically die or de-exist or some uncool bullshit if they don't get a master, so he can't fault them personally for wanting to avoid that (even if his frustration and distrust of the whole concept bleeds over into interactions with them). He just hates their existence in a general "what fucked up god designed this bullshit FUCK THEM!!!!!!!" kind of way.

NOT AS ANNOYING AS FIRST PERCEIVED? Kirei is very slow to change judgments of people and he tends to just MAKE AN ASSUMPTION and follow it to its conclusion. So to change his opinion it takes. A lot of work. But he's slowly coming around the bend on Ticky and is more or less entered a thoughtful zone.

HILARIOUSLY TICKY HIT ON LIKE 3 POINTS WHICH PRETTY MUCH MADE KIREI FEEL EVEN SHITTIER ABOUT HIMSELF which is. Just. Hilarious. GG Ticky.

But other than that Kirei isssss willing to consider things from Ticky! He doesn't believe in them and it would take a lot to make him shift his faith (since even in canon when he accepts his pleasure his faith doesn't shift). But he's moving in the direction of . . . consideration which! Is a lot! And he is more willing to not be so immediately >:E Slick when they chat again.

He finds Slick pretty puzzling in a lot of ways like. I DON'T UNDERSTAND YOUR WORLD VIEW AT ALL??? But that has to do with Kirei's own narrow...world...view...

Well. Tbf. Slick was a total dick when he met Kirei! But he was also working under a rather mistaken assumption that Kirei's repression was more about not knowing what he wants. Or maybe striking a balance like ticky does - without reservation. So once he realized Kirei was serious about this being good shit, and even in his dreams where he is openly awful his faith was still important. He's just like, shrug. Okay. Also Kirei says Slick isn't his type do he's not trying to get sex from him anymore. He's totally in it for the pleasure of Kirei's company, which means he really doesn't care what Kirei chooses.

Uh. He completely doesn't really get how Kirei works and part of him figures he must be misunderstanding? But he isn't really as much a creature of absolutes as he used to be. So he can roll with 'okay you are different and I don't get it' and focus on what is similar like 'even if pleasure is not your main motivator you still want it'.

He is also genuinely trying to help! Cuz why not? Helping is fun. Kirei is entertaining. Maaaybe one day that relationship will go somewhere. And it is honestly nice to hang and chat with someone who truly doesn't judge, and can also understand things like 'self control is hard' and 'knowing something is wrong really doesn't make me want it less'

Like. Allen tends to get on his case for his fuck ups and treat them like a big deal. But for ticky they aren't because yes okay he mangled some guy. But there were about five hundred times before that where he didn't mangle anyone. Bitches don't know how much self control he exerts just leaving his room in the morning.

So basically maybe with some time and patience, Kirei will be a bro, and that would be cool.

Because for the x number of years Kirei was contracted with Lancer he didn't call him 'Lancer' all the time. Also generally AUKirei uses titles for distance (Archer, Lancer, etc) and names for familiarity/closeness (Gilgamesh, Diarmuid, etc). You can tell when his robot has broken down a bit because he'll switch to names and he re-robots when he switches back to titles, generally.

HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT KIREI, LANCER!!!

Confused... very confused.

There is a definite wariness with him from the warnings he's gotten and from Kirei's own, but... it's hard to be wary of him constantly. He got the... strange reactions... moments of Kirei's familiarity with him before he got the warnings. So it was this kind of disconnect between wanting to heed the warnings and wanting to understand Kirei's reactions to him. Learning that Kirei had summoned him in the fifth war has been... difficult to imagine. It has made him more and more determined to understand what happened. He was one of the first servants to die in his version of the fourth war, and not being able to get the information he's wanted from those who were in the war with him is incredibly frustrating for him. The fact that he can get information out of Kirei is nice, even if he realizes it's not all of it. He's slowly learning more though and trying to piece things together.

Learning that Kirei killed his Lancer was shocking. More so was the change in his demeanor when he told him about it. It was... unsettling... and then Diarmuid went to be dere at his master and all was better... Honestly though the teasing from his roommates during the truth event was worse for him. Then there was the dream. MOSTLY THE DREAM WAS JUST WEIRD?!?!!! Then there was the bedroom... a-and while he had some idea that Kirei had been intimate with his servant, seeing it was shocking... aaaaand a little arousing.

So he's mostly still trying to figure out Kirei and he knows that he's not being nearly as cautious with him as he could or should be, but he does want to help Kirei and it's frustrating to be called fragile :T AM NOT!!!!!!!

Kirei also keeps calling him Diarmuid instead of Lancer. He... never thought about it, which is why it keeps taking him so off guard, but only a few people actually call him Diarmuid. Mostly those in AptS in other words people he's pretty intimate with -- who with the exception of Wil, he's been sexually active with. The use of the name is an intimacy that he wasn't expecting. That combined with the hair petting make it pretty easy to top him.

Kiritsugu likes Rin. But at the same time, he's very much concerned about her, especially when she parrots the words of a traditional magus--re: her father. And Kiritsugu has Issues about traditional magi so...

He does appreciate that she at least can be level-headed enough to keep her act together even though it's sort of obvious she's in a rough place herself (SHE DIED SO YOUNG AND FUCKING GRAIL WAR BEING EARLY) especially since she comes from a world where she was a Master in the Fourth War.

He also appreciates that she cares about Archer in an atypical Master-Servant way which... isn't Master-Servant per se or at all. It's something that Kiritsugu's been noting more and more (and most especially because she asked him to speak with Archer about "Archer things" and such). So. Yes. That and the fact that she was friends with Shirou (before the whole Archer thing. ffff).

Hoooowever, he gets the same vibe that he's been getting from Archer--the whole STAY IN YOUR PONYBOX, EMIYA KIRITSUGU vibe, which is starting to wear on his nerves more than a bit. Though she at least acknowledges that he's in an aggravating position. But it feels as though she, like Archer, keep underminding and underestimating him and that is a very dangerous thing to do even when he's ambivalent and-or friendly. Since. lol. His natuuure... though she did get a clue about that with his "Emiya Kiritsugu is a contradiction" hint. '-'

So overall, not a bad opinion of her but kids these days...

ugh god yukari x everyone in the world

But really here are my main ships:

- Yukari x Yuyuko. Yuyuko was this human girl who had this really... unpleasant... ability, wherein basically she just sort of unconsciously killed all the people around her. Like sucked the life out of them. Yukari was pretty much too powerful to be affected by this so they became friends. Then Yuyuko couldn't take it anymore and killed herself, which was terrible. But then some person who cared a lot about Yuyuko and had a bunch of awesome powers and stuff (hint: it was Yukari) did a bunch of weird stuff with her and sealed her soul to exist as a ghost forever instead of reincarnating. Being dead was cool because it allowed Yuyuko to regain control over her awful killy power, and now she is spacey and cheerful and adorable all the time.

So now Yukari and dead!ghost!Yuyuko hang out all the time and are basically so stupidly close that they don't even have to talk in order to communicate their absurd plans between each other. Yukari loves the crap out of Yuyuko and pretty much will do any stupid thing if Yuyuko asks her to. It is more or less the ship of frivolous crazies frivolously taking on the world.

- Yukari x Reimu - Reimu is Yukari's student... and also a shrine maiden whose job it is to exterminate youkai... yeah it's weird. Yeah it's weird. But basically Yukari is sort of Reimu's partner/mentor in SAVING THE WORLD. Reimu is a bit of a hardass and also doesn't really have a lot of patience for Yukari's crap. So naturally Yukari trolls the shit out of her all day.

- Yukari x Ran - Ran is basically the sane one in the Yakumo family. She is a foxgirl! and also Yukari's shikigami servant. And mommy to Chen, who is like... their daughter? Ish? Sort of? Anyway, Ran keeps Yukari's life in order and is there to point out when Yukari is acting completely batshit. More or less she is Yukari's loyal servant but also her close confidant. And Yukari basically trusts her to keep her in balance and to see the things that she overlooks. THEY HAVE KNOWN EACH OTHER FOREVER. Just. For a really, really, really long time. Ran is probably the steadiest, most constant companion she's ever had. They are pretty much mated for life. Like swans.

kirei what are you even gonna do if you accidentally run into kiritsugu. will you just run away like OH GOD WHY or will you have to take a sorrowhit.

THOUGHTS ON THAT GIL DREAM KIREI

IT WAS REALLY HOT.

Kirei in general doesn't have a lot of Gilmaiming fantasies (THOUGH AUKIREI HAS SIG MORE THAN CANONKIREI). And he certainly likes to huff Gil's sorrow every now and then. But that was def Gilboner + a decade of frustration + a certain amount of Gildisgust rolled into that. He has Gildreams every now and then annnnddddd they're just. Really. Good. But he also in general would never want to realize their fantasy for a variety of reasssssonnnnssss in the fucked up AUGilKirei relation.

HE WOULD LIKE TO DREAM IT AGAIN bbbbut is also pretty much like mentally trying to spray bottle himself too. NO BAD KIREI NO STOPPIT o goddddd.

Other than thooose mostly fine! Tiny Gil showing up ended up being mostly okay because making out with Enkidu and Fake King turning childcare into a competition. So in general... chill and Gil-y with some negative episodes.

She is sort of wary. Not because she thinks Zexion is a liar or that it is necessarily glaringly bad but he's someone who has his shit together and she feelssssss like her (Rin's) power dynamic with him is slanted in his favor.

IN PRINCIPLE it is not a bad idea except for a few silly things - mostly her feelings of failure and general distrust for others. But since Saber was pretty much like UM RIN YOU NEED TO CONTRACT WITH ARCHER and Zexion did too and everything she's just like '-'...

She will feel better once the contract business is sorted out though honestly.

HRGGG she does wonder if Saber has just been put in a bad place and this is a bad idea and she doesn't know how to fix it :X

Fashionably late, but tell me Enkidu's thoughts on the two Gilgameshes. Are they viewed differently?

He views them as individual but undoubtedly 'Gilgamesh'. He pretty much refuses to see one as better than the other and works really hard to maintain that. He pretty much loves all Gilgameshes so it is not really a problem that much just. They are super different and one is easier than the other (dumbgil is easier than smartgil) but he wants to treat them the same regardless >:(
